 REGISTER FOR THE FESTIVAL'S SOCIAL CHANGE BOOK FAIR

The 2020 Social Change Book Fair will take place on Saturday, March 28, the busiest day of Split This Rock Poetry Festival: Poems of Provocation & Witness 2020 in Washington, DC. We welcome publishers, indie & local presses, literary journals and organizations, university programs (grad and undergrad), social justice organizations, student groups, and other groups working at the intersections of culture and social change to exhibit at the book fair. Attendees are national and local, and we welcome national and local exhibitors! We expect over 700 poets and activists to attend the Poetry Festival from all over the country. The Book Fair is free and open to the public, including the entire George Washington University campus and DC area residents. Join us on Saturday, March 28, 10 am - 3:30 pm in the Continental Ballroom of George Washington University's Cloyd Heck Marvin Center!

Registration for the Book Fair has been extended until February 7, 2020. Space is limited, so reserve today!

Registration Levels

  •      $150: Full Table at the Poetry Festival Book Fair AND One (1) one-day pass for the Poetry Festival
  •      $100: Full Table at the Poetry Festival Book Fair
  •      $50: Half Table at the Poetry Festival Book Fair
  •      $25: Half Table at the Poetry Festival Book Fair - Non Profit Rate for organizations with annual budget below $500,000

 PURCHASE A FESTIVAL PROGRAM BOOK AD

Split This Rock Poetry Festival's program book is an essential part of the gathering that all festival attendees receive. It is a guide to festival events, featured poets and presenters, venues, and local places to eat. And your ad can be part of it! This rare opportunity, offered only three times since 2008, is a chance to get the word out about your organization to 700+ poets, activists, and literature enthusiasts!

For inclusion in the program book, all information must be received by January 24, 2020.


$800 Advertising Package comes with:

  • Full page black and white ad in Festival program book
  • One (1) full Split This Rock Poetry Festival registration OR 2 one-day passes
  • Full table at the Festival Book Fair

$500 Advertising Package comes with:

  • Half page black and white ad in Festival program book
  • One (1) full Split This Rock Poetry Festival registration OR 2 one-day passes
  • Full table at the Festival Book Fair

$250 Advertising Package comes with:

  • Quarter page black and white ad in Festival program book
  • One (1) full Split This Rock Poetry Festival registration OR 2 one-day passes
  • Full table at the Festival Book Fair

$100 Ad Only Purchase comes with:

  • 1/8 page black and white ad in Festival program book (business-card size)


Split This Rock Poetry Festival Program Book Ad Terms of Agreement

By reserving space in the program book, you agree to the following terms:

  • Ad copy and payment in full are due by January 24, 2020.
  • Ad reservation is complete only once payment and ad copy are received.
  • Requests for ad reservations which do not submit payment and copy by January 24, 2020 may be cancelled.
  • Split This Rock reserves the right to refuse any advertisement it feels is inappropriate or which does not conform to the standards of the publication. Split This Rock reserves the right to print the word “Advertisement” on any advertisement that might be misconstrued as editorial content.
  • The advertiser assumes all liability for content of all advertisements printed & assumes all liability for any claims made against Split This Rock as the result of an advertisement.
  • Cancellations cannot be accepted any later than one week (five business days) after the January 24 copy deadline (January 31). Cancellations received thereafter are subject to a full payment charge for the advertisement.
  • Split This Rock assumes no responsibility for printing errors for ad copy or images submitted after January 24, 2020.

Purchasing Program Book Ads

You can submit Program Book Ads online through Submittable using the Split This Rock Poetry Festival 2020 Program Book Ads form. Please note: online payment will be accepted through PayPal. Further instructions are included on the form.

 BECOME A FESTIVAL SPONSOR

Your sponsorship makes the Festival possible!
Major sponsorships like yours help Split This Rock cover a range of core Festival costs-- from travel, lodging, and honorariums for featured poets and venue rentals to accessibility services and scholarships for community members. Sponsorships play a major role in supplementing grants and donations and help us offer prestige poetry events for free to the public and keep the cost of Festival registration accessible to attendees.

Your sponsorship donation can be made online using this form. Please contact Alexandria Petrassi at alexandria@splitthisrock.org to pay by check. After your sponsorship donation is complete, staff will contact you to request information needed for program book ads, Festival passes, book fair tables, and reserved seating. To include your logo or sponsorship in the printed Festival program book, digital platforms, or on t-shirts, all information must be received by January 24, 2020. 

LEVEL 1 ($10,000 and above):

1. Ten (10) Split This Rock Festival passes, with reserved seating for Featured Readings

2. Full table at the Festival Book Fair

3. Promotional Package featuring:

  • Full page black & white ad in Festival program book
  • Featured on Festival sponsors page of Split This Rock’s website
  • Thank you on Sponsor page of Festival program book
  • Social media feature
  • National email list feature sent to over 7,500 writers, educators, and organizers nationwide
  • Logo featured on digital platforms, printed Festival promotion, Festival t-shirts, and mainstage slideshow before every featured reading (3 nights, 400-600 attendees/night)
  • Thanks and acknowledgement from the stage at featured readings

LEVEL 2 SPONSOR ($5,000 and above):

1. Five (5) Split This Rock Festival passes, with reserved seating for Featured Readings

2. Full table at the Festival Book Fair

3. Promotional Package featuring:

  • Full page black & white ad in Festival program book
